This book written by Lazlo Hamori is an excellent example if you like exciting and adventurous stories. This story takes place in Hungary by the time the World War II was occurring. Latsi Kerék, who is the main character of this story, is a twelve year old boy who lived with his grandmother since he was very young. His parents moved illegally to Sweden because they had problems with the Hungarian authorities, so they moved to escape from that and have a better life. Because they escaped illegally, they couldn´t take Latsi with them. So, they took him with his grandmother. When his grandmother died, Latsi had to move to other place so he began a journey to Sweden to find his parents. Latsi had to complete the journey with the help of Pishta, his companion in flight, by making his way out of serious obstacles and problems. Finally, he found his parents in a village in Sweden. The main theme of this story is hope and freedom, since Latsi had a lot of faith by finding his parents in Sweden.

I think that this book is good because the story captivates you a lot. The author describes really well the characters and the setting. This book seems that was written a long time ago, but it doesn´t mean that the story is going to be bored and ugly. In fact, this book is one of the best ones that I have read. I think that the humor of Latsi was that he was always sure and confident about the things he made through the story. I know this because the author says in the book that when Latsi was young, he made right decisions by obeying his grandmother, and choosing the right way to go to Sweden. I think that this story takes place in a perfect period because in this period the World War II was happening, and this story has the feeling and the sense of a war.

A reader that likes stories of adventure would love this book. He will like a lot the way Laszlo Hamori wrote the book and the way he described the entire thing that happened throughout the story. The reader may like the exciting actions that happened while Latsi was going to Sweden.  So, this book is absolutely good for those who would like to hear a new and original story that takes place during the WWII.

The title of this book is "Dangerous Journey", and it relates a lot to the story of the book because it is about a journey that Latsi has to take to find his parents in Sweden. Throught his journey, he finds a lot of dangerous moments that he has to pass. So, this is a simple and excellent title that follows the moments of the story.

The setting contribute a lot because the author says that the setting is sad and cloduy all of the time. He says that because this story takes place on Hungary which is a country with low temperatures and most of the time cloudy. Also, in some of the parts the setting of the story is like happy in the time that Latsi finds his parents in Sweden. The setting contributes to the work by being the same as the characters are feeling. For example, if Latsi is sad because he thinks he will not find his parents, the setting will be dark with not so much color. The author describes the setting really well when this type of actions are happening. So, the setting of this story contributes specially in the characters´                                                      feelings and mood.

One important conflict that occurs during the story is that Latsi´s grandmother died, and he has to go back with his parents to Sweden to find them. It is a big conflict because Latsi doesn´t know a lot of people, he only knew his grandmother, So, he will have to get outside of Budapest and face the problems he will have on the journey. Another conflict that occurs in this story is that Latsi´s parents went to Sweden to have a better life, and they didn´t have the right papers or documents to inmigrate to other country, so they had to infiltrat illegaly to Sweden, and maybe in the future the police will know that they are illegal and they will send them back to Budapest. These are two conlifcts that occur in the story.

Omniscient narrator

The narrator of a "Dangerous Journey" is omniscient which means that he knows everything and he doesn't participates in the story. This narrator knows what Latsi is thinking and what he is doing. He knows everything of this book. I know that it is an omniscient narrator because in the entire book, the narrator explains the things that are happening, and the narrator never tell us anything about him or her. So, the narrator ob this book is omniscient.

Some important actions that happen in this book are when Latsi´s parents escaped to Sweden, and when Latsi went to risk his life to go with his parents. Latsi´s parents escaped to Sweden because they had problems in Hungary, so they went to Sweden to forget everything and start a new life, they left Latsi with his grandmother in a little department when he was young. The other important action that happened is when Latsi went to find his parents in Sweden. He had to escape from the department where he lived, and he also asked for help to Pishta.

Figurative language is present in "A Dangerous Journey", we can find imagery, repetition, and more concepts. An example of alliteration in this book could be "Lifting his arms high above his head, he stretched to his full lenght", we could see that the letter "h" is repeated six times in one sentence. Also, we can find imagery when the author describes the scene where Latsi is running away through the dark forest. In this last one, I could imagine the frightened kid running away through the dark and quite forest. So this are some of the figurative language examples that I found on this book.

The principles character in a "Dangerous Journey"  are this twelve year old Hungarian boy named Latsi Kerek and his companion in flight named Pishta. Latsi and Pishta will try to go to Sweden because this is where Latsi´s parents live. Since his grandmother died in his apartment in Budapest, he will try to find a way to get into Sweden with the help of Pishta.
